Welcome to Kindergarten! We've had a great start to our year together. I hope that you'll find the information posted here useful.

Our "special" class schedule is as follows:

Monday--Music and Technology

Tuesday--Library and Music

Wednesday---Gym

Thursday---Art and Gym

Friday---Gym

We also get outside for play most days, so it is extremely helpful if the children have shoes and appropriate clothing for outdoor play. Sneakers are great! Flip flops, on the other hand, are not so great for school. Children will at times have homework that you may complete together as a family. We also will be participating in Scholastic Book Clubs, where you'll have the chance to purchase great books at a little price. This helps us stock up on books for our classroom and fill your family book shelves, too. Participation in these book orders are optional.

Daily Schedules: We fit in a morning meeting, small group reading times, and "specials" before lunch. After lunch, our time is devoted to math, writing, and thematic learning experiences (where we fit in our science and social studies components). Oh, and snack and recess! I'm sure your child talks a lot about their two favorite parts of the day!
