Argyle CSD Transitions To Remote Instruction

Argyle CSD Transitions To Remote Instruction
Posted on 12/16/2020
As a result of a staffing shortage created by quarantine requirements, beginning on Friday, December 18, 2020, all K-12 students will transition to remote instruction through the Holiday Break - students attending the Career and Technical Center and out-of-district BOCES placements will continue to attend in-person instruction.

We anticipate that our students will return to school to in-person instruction on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Please note: There is not a COVID outbreak in the district and this is not considered a school closure; it is just a temporary shift in our K-12 instructional model. During our period of remote instruction (December 18 - December 23, 2020), students should log into their Google Classrooms at the regularly scheduled time.

Starting Monday, five-days of meals (breakfast and lunch) will be provided to any student who is interested. The district will send out info about collecting/delivering meal orders on Friday, December 18th.

Chromebooks and Ipads were sent home with our elementary students today. The elementary remote learning material pickup scheduled for Friday, December 18, 2020 has been rescheduled until Monday, December 21, 2020. Mrs. Wood will send out more information about this on Friday.

We know the importance of keeping our students in school, however, with the amount of staff impacted by quarantines, a shortage of substitutes, and the rise in covid cases in the area, we determined it was best to move to this fully remote learning period out of an abundance of caution for our students, staff and their families.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to keeping everyone safe and healthy.

Sincerely,
Michael Healey
Superintendent
