Scholarship Descriptions
Alfred University “Outside of Ordinary” Scholars Award - The recipient demonstrates a character that exemplifies an individual that inspires others with their leadership and academic exploration. They possess the positive attitude, academic initiative, and social awareness that embodies true Saxon Spirit. This award is $30,000 per year totaling $120,000 over the course of four years.
Clarkson University High School Achievement Award-In recognition of outstanding leadership qualities and academic promise. This award is $30,000 per year totaling $120,000 over the course of four years.
Keuka College’s George H. Ball Community Achievement Award-To a student who embodies Keuka College’s guiding principles:respect, appreciation, and care for diversity; integrity in pursuit of academic excellence; and social responsibility and leadership in your school and community. This award is $22,000 per year totaling $88,000 over the course of four years.
RPI Medal Award- In recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the study of mathematics and science. This award is $40,000 per year totaling $160,000 over the course of four years.
St. Lawrence True North Scholarship- Valued at $44,500 per year, the True North Scholars Program seeks high school juniors who demonstrate strong character, meaningful engagement in their school, community, work, or family life, and a desire to be part of a close-knit residential community grounded in the liberal arts.
Student Sage Award-The Student Sage Award recognizes students who embody the Russell Sage College motto of “Be. Know. Do.” Students who receive this award are academic and social leaders who make our community stronger and have been recognized by their schools as outstanding contributors to the world around them. Russell Sage college commends them on their efforts and encourages them to continue this commitment to serving others throughout their lives. This award is $21,000 per year totaling $84,000 over the course of four years.
The RIT Art and Design Award - This award is given to a junior who has shown academic achievement, involvement in school and community and demonstrates outstanding achievement in art and design. This award is $29,000 per year totaling $116,000 over the course of four years.
The RIT Business and Leadership Award- This award recognizes outstanding high school students from the junior class for their leadership, service, and achievements. Student nominees must have demonstrated an interest and ability in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship.This award is $29,000 per year totaling $116,000 over the course of four years.
The RIT Computing Award- This award is given to a junior who has shown academic achievement, involvement in school and community and demonstrates interest and ability in computing. This award is $29,000 per year totaling $116,000 over the course of four years.
The RIT Science and Math Award-In recognition of outstanding achievement. This award and a scholarship is in the amount of 19,000 per year. This scholarship is renewable each year and will provide up to 76,000 in undergraduate scholarship support during your time at RIT. This award is $29,000 per year totaling $116,000 over the course of four years.
University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Scholarship- In recognition of outstanding achievement and superior intellectual promise in the field of science. This award is $5,000 per year totaling $20,000 over the course of four years.
University of Rochester Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award- Given to a student in recognition of outstanding commitment to social justice and dedication to continuing their unfinished life’s work. This award is $5,000 per year totaling $20,000 over the course of four years.
University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award-In recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership. This award is $5,000 per year totaling $20,000 over the course of four years.
University of Rochester Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology- Given to a student in recognition of outstanding achievement in the pursuit of innovative approaches and an appreciation for the possibilities of technology. This award is $ 5,000 per year totaling $20,000 over the course of four years.
