ACS Veggie Challenge!

ACS Veggie Challenge!
Posted on 04/13/2022
This year, we’re hosting a Veggie Challenge here at ACS-April 25th- April 29th, for Every Kid Healthy Week
Elementary Classes:
The challenge is “Get Caught eating Your Veggies”
APRIL 25-29: Faculty and staff will give out tickets each time you are “caught” eating your veggies! The class with the most tickets wins a classroom snack party!
How will it work??
Families--> When sending in snacks and lunch boxes– try a new veggie idea for them to TRY – it does not have to be the entire snack, but this is a great opportunity for them to try something new with friends and for a fun purpose!
Food Service--> Will have veggies for the kids to try during lunch that week – on the lunch line and if they bring their lunches there will be items for them to try as well!
Teachers--> Will be sent forms to fill out for in their classroom – during snack if they have veggies.
Every Kid Healthy™ Week is an annual observance created to celebrate school health and wellness achievements and is recognized on the calendar of National Health Observances.
Observed the last week of April each year, this special week shines a spotlight on the great efforts our school partners are making to improve the health and wellness of their students and staff and the link between nutrition, physical activity, and learning – because healthy kids are better prepared to learn, and healthy teachers are better prepared to teach!
