Awards were presented at Argyle Central School to students in the Class of 2023. Students were selected for special recognition for college-based scholarships.

Carsen Bartow received the Bausch and Lomb Science Award from the University of Rochester. This award is given to a junior who has shown outstanding academic achievement in three years of science. Carsen is the son of Jeremy and Peggy Bartow.

Carsen Bartow also received the RPI Medal Scholarship. This award is given to a junior who shows outstanding achievement in the areas of math, science, and extracurricular
involvement.

Carsen Bartow also received the Clarkson Leadership Award. This award is given to a student who demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities and is actively involved in the school and community.

Carsen Bartow and Emilie Wood received the RIT Creativity and Innovation Award. This award is given to a junior who has shown academic achievement, involvement in school and community and demonstrates outstanding achievement in innovation, creativity or entrepreneurship.
 

Carsen Bartow and Emilie Wood received the St. Lawrence/Augsbury North Country Scholarship. This award is given to juniors who demonstrate leadership ability, a strong
interest in community service, a genuine desire to pursue a liberal arts degree at St. Lawrence.

Emilie Wood received the George Eastman Young Leaders Award from the University of Rochester. This award is given to a junior who has strong leadership qualities; extensive
involvement in extracurricular activities and has shown outstanding academic achievements. Emilie is the daughter of Audrey McKernon and Michael Wood.

Olivia Montello received the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award and Scholarship in Humanities and Social Sciences from the University of Rochester. This award is given to a junior who has shown outstanding achievement in the humanities or social sciences, leadership and community service. Olivia is the daughter of Jim Rozelle and Jill Montello.

Clayton Bates also received the Alfred University Scholar Award. This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated who they are as an individual and how they can bring that same inspiration to the Alfred University community. Clayton is the son of Jeremy and Chelsea Bates.

Cayden McWhorter received the Clarkson Achievement Awards. This award is given to a junior who has demonstrated strong academic ability, leadership skills and is actively involved in the school and community. Cayden is the son of Michael and Shellie McWhorter.

Daniel Castrio received the Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology. This award is given to a junior who has a strong interest in innovation and/or information
technology and a high level of achievement in this area. Daniel is the son of Cathi Radner and Chris Castrio.

Daniel Castrio received the Clarkson School Scholars Award. This award is given to a junior who has leadership skills and is academic promise.

Daniel Castrio and Emilie Wood received the Wells 21 st Century Leadership Award. This award is given to juniors who embody the spirit, integrity and intellectual qualities of strong
leaders.

Gabriel Burch, Sarah Gaulin, Olivia Montello and Emilie Wood each received the 
Student Sage Scholarship. This award was created to recognize the characteristics of academic excellence and community involvement. Gabriel Burch is the son of Brian and Linda Burch. Sarah Gaulin is the daughter of Dan and Jill Gaulin.

Madison Branion, Aislinn Gillis, Cayden McWhorter and Jamie Sabo received the The Colonel Emerging Leader Award from Wilkes University. This award is given to a junior in recognition of outstanding achievement in academics and extracurricular activities. Madison Branion is the daughter of Michael and Christine Branion. Aislinn Gillis is the daughter of
David and Susan Gillis. Jamie Sabo is the daughter of Darcy Sabo and Jason Farndell and Joseph Sabo.

Jamie Sabo received The Reilly Scholarship from the St. Bonaventure University. This award is given to a junior in honor of St. Bonaventure’s academic excellence and the
dedication of SBU’s core values.
