School Closing on September 23, 2020
Posted on 09/22/2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Village of Argyle has scheduled maintenance on the village water main on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Due to the fact that the repairs will leave the District without water, the school will be closed on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.

On the two days following the repairs (September 24-25), the Village of Argyle will issue a Boil Water Advisory. This means that although we will have running water, our bottle filling station will be closed. We will make temporary water coolers available for students and staff; we strongly encourage all students to bring a water bottle to school as well, if possible.

During these two days, we would like to remind all students, staff, and visitors to be mindful when washing their hands. We suggest that handwashing be a two-step process –  handwashing with soap/water should be followed by hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is available in all classrooms and throughout the building.

Our cafeteria will remain open during the Boil Water Notice, however, the lunch menus have been adjusted to reflect cooking safety requirements. Breakfast menus and all other items for purchase will remain the same. The lunch menus will be as follows:

• Thursday September 24, 2020 – Chicken Alfredo served with pasta, dinner roll, fresh garden salad, fruit and milk.

• Friday September 25, 2020 – Personal Pan Pizza -or- Chicken Patty on a bun, fresh garden Salad, fruit and milk.

Virtual/Remote Meal Pick Up will be moved from Wednesday to Thursday for this week. Any questions please contact Meaghan Wilkins in the Food Service Department.

Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding during this time – if you have any questions, please contact the district office.

 Sincerely,

Michael Healey
