If you have more than one eligible child (i.e. twin, etc.) you will need to complete a packet for each child.

Mail the forms to Argyle Central School, 5023 State Route 40, Argyle, NY 12809, Attn: Kim Humiston.
    OR
Drop the completed enrollment packet off at school Monday-Friday between 8:00 am-4:00 pm
    OR
    Email documents to humiston_k@argylecsd.org

  • There are 20 spots available. If more than 20 register, then we will hold a lottery.

  • If a lottery is needed it will take place on May 1, 2024 in the Argyle cafeteria. All families are welcome to attend.

  • The lottery will select attendees at random. New York State UPK regulations prohibit a district from prioritizing eligible students for any reason, including economic background. Each child will be entered into the lottery as an individual student and will be selected at random.

  • If your child's name is not drawn, you will be notified of where your child is seated on the waitlist. You will be notified if an opening becomes available during the 2024-25 school year.

  • If one twin is pulled the other will automatically get the spot after that. For example, if one twin is pulled at #8 the other will get spot #9. However, if one twin gets the last spot, then the other will be placed on the wait list.

  • Our full-day program will consist of a 5-hour day (8:15 am-1:15 pm) and run for the entire 180-day school year.

  • No, parents will be responsible for transporting their child to and from school.

  • They will not have traditional specials but will be exposed to PE, Art, Music, Library, and STEM in various ways. If a schedule permits, students will have guest teachers to assist the classroom teachers in these areas.

  • You will find this information in the welcome packet.

  • Yes, this will be done in May. A follow-up letter/email will be sent to you.

  • Progress reports and a parent conference will be held in the fall. Students' progress will be monitored throughout the year, and reports will come home to you.
