Dear Families,
I want to sincerely thank you for partnering with us on this most challenging endeavor! This transition into remote learning was unexpected, and like nothing we’ve ever experienced before.

We could not possibly do this without your support, communication, and oversight.

I’d also like to thank our teachers, aides, support staff, office staff, custodians and bus drivers. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this group!

One of the main goals of remote learning is to continue to find ways to connect with our students. Students have responded to the circumstances in a variety of ways. Some adapted quickly and some have needed some time to figure out a new routine/schedule. We are putting new resources on our website regularly; if you need help with getting your student connected and working, please check the website, or reach out to school personnel.

Our closure took place in the middle of the 3rd marking period, after the 25th week progress reports were just issued. Your child’s third quarter grade will be the same or higher than his/her progress report grade, depending on completion of work during the closure. If your child was not passing third quarter at the time of the closure, but has been submitting work, he/she will receive the current grade. If your child was not passing at the 25-week mark, and has not submitted any work, he/she will receive a grade of “Incomplete,” and every attempt will be made to help your child get caught up.

We are in the process of developing guidelines for 4th quarter/final grades. We will post that information as soon as it is available. Thank you, again, for all you’re doing to support your children. Please contact me if I can assist you or your children in any way.

Sincerely,

Susan Passaro
