The School Based Intervention Team (SBIT) serves as a resource to assist parents and teachers in a variety of settings in accordance with Federal and State Regulations. Argyle Central School District will utilize Aimsweb test results in identifying students in academic needs across the broad spectrum and provide differing levels of response to intervention to individual students. The team members include the Director of Special Education, the Building Principal, the Classroom Teacher, a Special Education Teacher, a Reading Teacher, a Speech/language Therapist, a School Psychologist, and other related service personnel as appropriate.
Teachers wishing to refer a child to the School Based Intervention Team will contact the parents first, then complete a SBIT referral form. Parents may also initiate a referral.
