While school districts in New York State have been instructed to prioritize efforts to return all students to in-person instruction, the district is also planning for remote learning, as well as for a hybrid model that combines in-person learning and remote learning.

Parents will always have the choice to remain in the remote learning model. If a parent/guardian decides to opt out their child from in-person learning for the start of the 2020-21 school year, they must submit their intent via this Google Form by August 21. Please fill this form out once for each child who is being opted out. Parents will be permitted to opt their child(ren) back into in-person learning on a five-week incremental basis.

By opting out of in-person learning, students are still expected to fully participate in Argyle Central School District's remote learning. Attendance will be taken daily and full grading practices will be in place. Should they choose, parents also have the option to unenroll their children from the Argyle Central School District and home school them per NYS Education Department's Home Instruction Regulations 100.10.

**ONLY PARENTS/GUARDIANS OPTING CHILDREN OUT OF IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM**
