In order to eliminate misunderstandings, assure the safety of our children, and to meet the school’s legal responsibility for student accounting, it is essential that a written note be submitted by parent(s) for the following:
- Written explanation of student’s absence upon returning to school after missing day(s) or part of a day. These are due the first day a student returns to school after being absent. Detention will be assigned to students who do not bring in an excuse within a reasonable time.
- Requests to change buses or to be discharged at a different stop.
- Requests to leave school early.
- Any requests to deviate from regular dismissal procedures.
- Requests to be temporarily excused from physical education for health reasons.
- Changes in eligibility for free and/or reduced price lunches and milk.
