March 2023


The Cristin Ann Bambino Memorial Scholarship  

Awarded to a college bound special education student from a NYSIR-member school district to reward him or her for working through special challenges to complete high school and obtain acceptance to a college or university.

Deadline – March 17


Hudson Mohawk Area Health Education Center Healthcare Career Scholarship

For a senior entering an approved healthcare related program at a local community college, university and/or a certification program.

Deadline – March 17


Joseph Goncalves Student Humanitarian Scholarship 

For a senior who plans to attend college in New York State. Students should be able to demonstrate a record of involvement and work for a cause or organization that actively promotes social justice, equal opportunity, relief of human suffering or similar aspirations generally understood to be with the meaning of humanitarian activity.

Paul Jensen Memorial Scholarship 

Awarded to a student who has demonstrated an inspired imagination and creative aesthetic in his or her school career, and who is seeking an opportunity to attend college.

Deadline – March 17


NYSUT Retiree Council 10 Scholarship

For a graduating senior pursuing a degree in education at either a two-year college transfer program or a four-year college.

Deadline – March 22 


3-Dimensional Patriotic Art Contest /VFW Auxiliary National Scholarship 

To assist a student who wishes to further their education.  This scholarship contest recognizes young artists and encourages patriotism in youth.  Entries will be judged on originality of concept, presentation and patriotism expressed, content of how it relates to patriotism and clarity of ideas, design technique, total impact of work.

Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest 

To assist a student who wishes to further their education. This contest recognizes young artists and encourages patriotism in youth. Entries will be judged on originality of concept, presentation and patriotism expressed, content of how it relates to patriotism and clarity of ideas, design technique, total impact of work.

“Angiodynamics” - STEM Women in Technology Award 

To a young woman to pursue a higher education degree in the stem field, while also encouraging leadership achievements in these fields and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.

Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award – Zonta Club 

Scholarship is based on required community service and voluntary community service

Junior League of Albany 

For a female high school senior who will be applying for enrollment in an accredited college, university or secondary education or vocation program for the 2023-2024 year. She should be currently involved in volunteer organizations or activities to improve the community and able to demonstrate citizenship and initiative.

Sandy Hill Foundation 

Scholarship grants for college education on an annual basis to assist qualifying young women and men graduating from designated local area schools.  Scholarships will be awarded on academic performance and achievements, standard educational tests, financial need and letters of recommendation received relating to the character, motivation and potential of the individual.

Young Women in Public Affairs Award – Zonta Club

To encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

Zonta Club of Glens Falls Scholarship 

For a senior who demonstrates financial need and academic success, school and community involvement and a talent or dream for future success.

Tri-County School Food Service Scholarship 

This scholarship shall be awarded to a senior who is continuing their education and pursuing a career in the field of food service/hospitality (Chef; cook-manager; restaurant, school, food service, or nutrition/dietetics).

American Society of Civil Engineers

Offers a scholarship to a graduating senior seeking to continue their education with the goal and desire of becoming a practicing civil engineer.

Deadline – April 7 

Schuylerville Community Theater Scholarship

For a student pursuing a degree in Music, Drama, Dance or Theater Arts.

Deadline – April 20

 

Adirondack Runners Scholarship 

Based on selection criteria that includes: academic achievement, school and community service, running achievements and a written essay that describes the significance that running has in the student’s life.

Deadline – April 28 


Adirondack School Counseling Association Scholarship 

To a senior planning to attend a 4-year college or university who will study human services, sociology, psychology or a related “helping” field;  and who has demonstrated a record of serving others in a humanitarian way.

May 2023

Adirondack Paralegal Association 

To a graduating senior who is seeking financial assistance for higher education.  Applicants are not required to be entering the legal field and are open to everyone.

Mary S. Koncikowski Memorial Scholarship 

A graduating senior who plans to continue his/her education beyond high school is eligible for this award.

Deadline – May 1


Tri-County Branch NY Division Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association, Inc. Award  

A $500 scholarship to a senior who plans on majoring in an agricultural, environmental, forestry, horticultural or oceanographic related field.

For a graduating senior who will benefit from further education.

Epilepsy Foundation Scholarships

Three scholarships awarded to high school seniors who are currently being treated for epilepsy and plan to further their education.

Green Steam Scholarship - Eden Renewables

For a senior who is pursuing a career in fields that benefit the environment.

Patrick R. Nolan Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating senior who is pursuing music in college.

Carl H. Lufkin Memorial Scholarship

For a senior who is either college bound or work force bound; the scholarship is based on three criteria – work experience, community service, and extracurricular activities.

Argyle Teachers’ Association Scholarship Award
 

Graduating senior who plans to continue his/her education beyond high school.

Deadline – May 25

Wilda B. MacKnight Memorial Scholarship

Good character and civic-minded student with community service experience. Special consideration given to students planning to attend SUNY Cortland.

The C. David Barker Memorial Scholarship

To a graduating senior to acknowledge the achievements of a senior for their volunteer services in schools and communities. The applicant does NOT need to be part of an Emergency Service, they just have to have a heart for serving others through some kind of volunteer program.

July 2023


Nightingale Scholarship 

Scholarship will be awarded to a qualified high school senior who is enrolled full time in a NYS accredited baccalaureate RN nursing program beginning in the fall semester post high school graduation.
