The Argyle Central School District is proposing a budget of $13,513,030 and a tax levy increase of 1.0%, for a total
tax levy of $4,958,480 for the 2022-23 school year.
The NYS Tax Cap formula allows the District to increase our 2022-23 tax levy by 1.0%, which is an average tax
levy increase over the last five years.
The Argyle community has a long history of supporting our school and our Board of Education’s efforts to provide
exceptional academic and extracurricular opportunities at a reasonable cost to the Argyle community. The Argyle
Board of Education recognizes and greatly appreciates your continued support.
The 2022-23 budget as presented maintains all of our current academic, sports, and extracurricular programs and
reflects the District’s efforts to continue offering a quality educational program for all of our students with a tax
levy increase that is consistent with our previous budgets.
In addition, here are some additional facts about this budget:
▪ The proposed tax levy increase of 1.0%, or $49,880, is the District’s 2022-23 allowable property tax cap limit.

▪ The primary increase in this year’s budget is the cost of fuel used for heating and transportation.
