Earlier today the District learned that an individual in the District has tested positive for COVID-19. This  individual is now in quarantine and will have to recover and be cleared by the Department of Health before returning to school. 


While the positive case did not result in required quarantines from the classroom or cafeteria, it did result in a small number of students being quarantined as a result of riding on district transportation. All families of students who are required to quarantine as a result of this positive exposure have been contacted by the district.


As a reminder, parents and guardians, please do not send your child to school if they are not feeling well or are showing any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, including "new" or "unexpected" symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, fever, chills, sore throat, runny nose, congestion, nausea, or loss of taste or smell.


Thank you to our students, faculty, and staff for continuing to maintain proper social distancing and for continuing to wear their masks correctly while in school - these steps continue to keep Department of Health-required quarantines at a minimum.


Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.
